We are pleased to announce that Commerciant has been acquired by BankServ, worldwide experts in electronic payments.
The combination of the companies will create a powerful suite of payment applications that enable businesses to collect payments however they touch their customers, whether at the office, on the Internet or even at their customers’ homes.
What this means for our ISO and agent partners:
it’s business as usual! You can expect the same high level of customer support for the most robust and rugged wireless payment solution in the market. BankServ has offices in San Francisco, Las Vegas and London, but our team will continue to work from our Houston office. The Commerciant brand will be retired, but Mobilescape is here to stay!

Over the next several months, we will work with BankServ’s sales and technical resources to integrate Mobilescape with BankServ’s DepositNow!® product to create the industry’s first system that can process and manage payments made by paper check, credit card or electronic check anywhere a merchant does business: the office, the Internet, or from employees in the field.
We’ll post updates on this and lots of other news on our website (www.mobilescape.com) as the BankServ and Mobilescape teams work together to create an even bigger footprint in the wireless payments market. What is DepositNow?

DepositNow is a tool that lets you save a trip to the bank every day by scanning checks straight into your account.

With DepositNow, you can accept credit cards on your business' Web site through a custom interface that we provide — not your typical "shopping cart", but a way for your customers to pay their outstanding bills or make monthly payments.

DepositNow can even generate e-mail invoices with a clickable link that customers can use to pay you right then and there. Our custom-branded credit card and secure invoicing options are plug-and-play: We set up the interface and save you the trouble of programming and IT work.

If you use QuickBooks or Peachtree to handle your business' accounting, a special edition of DepositNow can automatically match checks to the correct customer and dollar amount and reconcile your books for you.

Since BankServ has local operations in both California and Nevada, we are now required to collect sales tax on all orders shipped to these states.
We already have a Texas resale certificate on file for many of you. If you have a valid resale certificate for California and/or Nevada, please fax a copy to your relationship manager at 713-735-5503 and we will be happy to update your file. We will require a valid resale certificate for all new sales made to merchants in these states.

The one hour training covers all of the Mobilescape's basic icons, how to process a credit card and check transaction and much more.
