Mobilescape who?  Even though there are thousands of Mobilescape terminals processing transactions daily, some processors may not be aware of us.  Many times when an agent contacts a processor to write an application, they are being told that they do not support the Mobilescape terminal.

 

Why?  The thing to remember is that the Mobilescape terminal is “B certified” through two internet gateways TPI/SmartPayments and the eProcessing Network.  When a terminal is B certified, the processor is willing to work with the terminal but is not responsible for supporting or troubleshooting the terminal.  Since the Mobilescape processes through an internet gateway, it is best to tell the processor which gateway you will be using rather than the terminal name.

Once the file is built at the processor level and the order is submitted, Commerciant takes care of the rest.  Before the terminal ships, the merchant’s information is downloaded to the terminal and tested to verify everything is working correctly.  To help support the Mobilescape, Commerciant offers a weekly merchant training call on Fridays along with 24/7 customer support.  Commerciant is responsible for paying all gateway fees and bills the merchant directly for their wireless fees…making it easier for you! 

When it comes to writing your application, here’s what we recommend you tell the processor. This information can also be found on the deployment form.

What this means for you is that you can sell the Mobilescape terminal regardless of the processor you choose.

We understand that merchant businesses change from time to time.  Since the Mobilescape is wireless, the majority of updates can be done "over the air".  This is a great advantage, since the merchant can keep the terminal in use and won’t have to pay for shipping charges.  Depending on the type of change made, a $50 fee may be charged to complete the update. 

 

Below is a listing of the most popular changes and the associated change fee.

 - Reprogramming a terminal with new processor
   information
 - Adding a logo, header or footer to a merchant's
   terminal
 - Changing a merchant's name
 

 No Additional Change Fee
 - Changing a merchant's address or phone number
 - Updating the merchant's banking account
   information
 - Adding or removing terminal functions
   (invoice, tip, memo)

LEASING PARTNERS

  

Commerciant currently has partnerships with a number of leasing companies that offer a range of packages and even split funding!  To find out the lease funding factors that are available for the Mobilescape please contact the lease companies directly.

 

Offering a lease option is a great way to increase your sales.  The merchant doesn’t have to come up with a large upfront sum for hardware, and you are fully funded right at the start of the contract.
